[..who i am..]
I am trying to be the best husband to Jessica and father to Connor I can possibly be. In the daytime (and after they go to sleep) I am the Innovative Creative Arts Pastor at Powell Church in Knoxville, TN. I love songwriting, creating stupid videos, apple computers, and pie.

for the record...

There's been a lot of discussion on that last post. For the record, I never said Pat was a bad person or anything else. all I said was, if he is going to be a "spokesman" for Christianity which he obviously is, he needs to be more careful what he says. Unfortunately, most of what he says is hurtful, so I was expressing my wishes that he would cease to make ridiculous statements. So if you took it some other way, sorry.

In other news... well, there isn't much other news. Life's rolling along. I'm really not having much chance to update this site like I want to and I apologize for that. I am writing a good bit over at www.gregadkinsmusic.com in the "community" section. I'm really finding that a message board setup is a lot better for conversation than a blog with comments. But, I also realize that most of the people who find their way to this site, are more interested in ministry/emergent stuff than my goofy folk-rock CD. I get it.

Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving... I've just about maxed out on my turkey, dressing, and cranberry relish quota for the year. Has anyone ever had cranberry relish? My mother-in-law makes this stuff that is just to die for... it's kind of like a cranberry jello with oranges, apples, pineapples, celery, and other stuff in it. It rules.

Oh not again.

Please, please, please, please, please, in the name of all that is sacred, will someone tell Pat Robertson to PUT A SOCK IN IT! He's gone off and said something completely moronic once again. Read all about it right here.
