[..who i am..]
I am trying to be the best husband to Jessica and father to Connor I can possibly be. In the daytime (and after they go to sleep) I am the Innovative Creative Arts Pastor at Powell Church in Knoxville, TN. I love songwriting, creating stupid videos, apple computers, and pie.

Out from behind the camera...

Normally, I prefer working behind the camera when it comes to video. I like editing... shooting... all that kind of stuff. But, this past week in The Well, I got stuck in front of the camera for a change. Each week we end the service with a Barocha (Hebrew word for blessing)... normally it is spoken but this week we did it on video. I thought it might be of use to some folks so I've posted it here for you to use if you like. The text is a paraphrase of a Frederick Buechner quote and the music is Miles Davis remixed from the "Finding Forrester" soundtrack. You can watch the video right here.

I'm not quite dead!

Hey everyone... it's amazing how not having comments working on the site has completely eliminated my desire to write anything. I am in the process of getting them back up and running. Apparantly a few enetation users have had their comments disappear for some reason and they are in the process of getting them back up and running. I would hope to have them working again within the week. I was actually considering switching to another comment provider but man... the thought of losing all those comments is almost unbearable. Anyway, as soon as those are up and working, I'll get back to blogging a bit more regularly.
