Two New Songs!
Songs #45 and #46 are both up on my 52 songs in 52 weeks page. I normally just post one a week but as we near the end, I'm just going to put them up as I finish them. I recorded both of these this afternoon and kind of like the idea of having them online as quickly as possible.On a personal side note, those of you who have been listening to this music over the past year, if you have a minute, I would appreciate your prayers. There are some neat things happening with my music that I can't really talk about but it could turn out to be something really cool or it could turn out to be nothing at all. I've not been pursuing anything in writing these songs other than to see if I could do it. It may turn into something more... it may not. Please pray for God's will to be done in this situation above my own. I'm sorry, I wish I could say more but I can't. I appreciate so much all of you who have taken the time to listen, comment, email, and share. It's been a good year.

When I asked you folks to help me write a song about cheese in the Christian sub-culture. Well, I didn't end of using any of your stuff (thanks to the two who submitted ideas... you know who you are). Well, I've officially gone and dorked out completely with the purchase of an Apple Ipod. I'd been thinking about getting one for a long time and a few weeks ago I played with one in a CompUSA and just couldn't get the coolness of this thing out of my head. So, I caved and bought one. Some would say that this is "cool". Not I... I would say that I am now a dork. A techno-dork perhaps, but a dork nonetheless. Still, this thing is pretty stinkin' unbelievable. I used to work in radio (where you get a LOT of free stuff) so I have about 1500 CDs in my collection. It blows my mind that this little thing that fits in my pocket will hold every last song I own... nearly 10,000 at this point. I got the 40GB model and ordered it from Apple directly. Ordered it Saturday night, had it Tuesday morning by 9:00, shipped from China. Impressive. If you're thinking of getting one of these, I'd say go for it... it sounds great, works great, and hey, you can be a dork like me.

Sorry for the silence... we've had a lot going on both at home and at work. I'll get back to more regular posting soon. August is a really crazy month for me as we get prepared for the big fall kickoff at church. This year is especially hectic as we are going through staff additions and a few other new wrinkles at church. Also my wife is going back to work next week which if you think of it, could stand to be lifted up in prayer. She's edgy about it and very sad about losing all that time with our son.Anyway, I'll be back to more regular posting soon and I'll have a new song online by this evening... not that anyone seems to be listening. I think I have officially numbed everyone down. About the last 6 or 7 have only received comments from KT (thanks KT!). No worries though... at this point, I'm gonna finish even if no one is listening and those who are listening think that I suck. I've got up through 44 recorded and I think I have all the way through 50 written so the end is very near.
